11/7/2011 Commission!

7/6/2011 Well, I've taken on a lot of new activities along with a full-time job so I haven't had much time to really sit down and paint, but I do have a few new small works in my studio at Green Rice Gallery. Swing by and check it out if you hapen to be in the area.

1/12/2011 First new piece of the year. Another Cairo, Egypt painting.

12/10/2010 Another commission.

12/1/2010 I just finished a painting of a scene durring the Great Depression....and it's on a cello. That's all.

10/12/2010 I'm very excited to announce my solo show in Charlotte, NC at Green Rice Gallery from November 5th-28th. If you don't dig art at least come and say hello to me since I've been gone for a year and a half I'd love to see some familiar faces!

7/6/2010 I'm a little frustrated, satisfied, cross-eyed and excited all at once about how the Cairo painting turned out. It's a gift so the pressure of painting it is greater for me than painting something for a total stranger, but hopfully it's a pleasant yet a bit of a silly surprise for the soon to be newlyweds. Oh, and my husband wants me to credit him with his mad photography skills he employed during his month in Egypt. Click to see a larger version.

"Cairo, Egypt".......the slums

6/15/2010 Commission for a little boy's room.

3/27/2010 I must say that I think I may never be happy with my website layout. Yet, the more I work on it the more I learn about the building and navigation aggrivation, er, I mean process that is involved. It's funny that I know what action or look I want for a certain button, but it's the steps to get there that boggles me sometimes. I compare it to wanting to get down a flight of stairs when you have no feeling in your arms and legs or a dream that you're running from something and, well, your brain doesn't let you move as fast as desired to escape. Well, for now I will rest my computer brain and work on the creative side that's been numb for a few days.

2/15/2010 Spray paint and paper mache has become a huge part in most of my new art. I'm addicted. See the before and after of Gingerly Ginger !

12/15/2009 The Monterey Museum of Art hosts a miniature show every year around the holidays where people can come and buy raffle tickets and win their own little masterpiece by a local CA artist. Here's a pic of mine. Ticket sales end on January 3rd and winners will be drawn and posted on the MMA web site January 8th.

"Hence" 6"x9" Acrylic on Wood

11/16/2009 I finally was able to pick up my old ford truck hoods from the junkyard and will soon begin the painting process. You can see the final product in person at my Green Rice show November 2010. I know it's far away but it's a lot of work and I'm starting NOW!
