7/6/2010 I'm a little frustrated, satisfied, cross-eyed and excited all at once about how the Cairo painting turned out. It's a gift so the pressure of painting it is greater for me than painting something for a total stranger, but hopfully it's a pleasant yet a bit of a silly surprise for the soon to be newlyweds. Oh, and my husband wants me to credit him with his mad photography skills he employed during his month in Egypt. Click to see a larger version.
"Cairo, Egypt".......the slums
3/27/2010 I must say that I think I may never be happy with my website layout. Yet, the more I work on it the more I learn about the building and navigation aggrivation, er, I mean process that is involved. It's funny that I know what action or look I want for a certain button, but it's the steps to get there that boggles me sometimes. I compare it to wanting to get down a flight of stairs when you have no feeling in your arms and legs or a dream that you're running from something and, well, your brain doesn't let you move as fast as desired to escape. Well, for now I will rest my computer brain and work on the creative side that's been numb for a few days.
2/15/2010 Spray paint and paper mache has become a huge part in most of my new art. I'm addicted. See the before and after of Gingerly Ginger !

12/15/2009 The Monterey Museum of Art hosts a miniature show every year around the holidays where people can come and buy raffle tickets and win their own little masterpiece by a local CA artist. Here's a pic of mine. Ticket sales end on January 3rd and winners will be drawn and posted on the MMA web site January 8th.
